We’ve recently moved from the Phoenix AZ area to about 6.5 acre property near Shelbyville TN with a fireplace. We’re going to need to start purchasing firewood for this winter to stock up. The Farmer’s Almanac is saying “ cold and snow “ for our part of the country. Since we’re not used to that AT ALL we’ll get wood for this winter and start clearing out the underbrush and cutting diseased trees for next years wood. I’ve got fall seeds sprouted in containers for now, since we haven’t had a chance to figure out the best places for gardens yet. That should give us something to put up for later. And I hear that if you haven’t got tomatoes put by, go stock up! The growers in CA got a bad crop and they supply the majority for the country.
