They’ve been after our critters for years. Remember NAIS. When they couldn’t pass it federally, they went state to state and passed parts of it. This administration is just more aggressive and lawless. This kind of reminds me of the scrapie eradication program. Its not designed to get rid of scrapie, its designed to get rid of goats. Now they are coming for our chickens. We need to get aggressive fighting this. Hang flyers in your feed stores, etc. to fight this.

I raised Nigerian Dwarf goats for over 20 years. We started out with two for our kids’ 4H project. At one time we had about 25 does and 5 bucks. They are really good milkers, I’ve had several just short of a gallon a day. I’ve made cheese, still make soap, we drank it, raised a calf and a little buckskin colt with it…and raised three kids on it (two legged kids). We are expecting probably our last litter of kids in May. Kind of sad, but looking forward to retirement.

We also had boer goats for meat. Goats are a lot of fun and entertainment!

We moved from South Central NM a year ago….Tularosa (the Alamogordo area). We loved the area! We are now back to SE Kansas, but I sure miss the desert.
