Grrr this pump fiasco is killing me!

Because they don’t actually have the pump in stock they said 6 weeks for delivery. Obviously I can’t wait 6 weeks so I tried everywhere that “carries” these pumps no one actually had one in hand. So I went back and ordered a more expensive lower output pump they supposedly do have on hand. Problem now is a bunch of the parts I already ordered are now useless and I need to order the correct parts for this setup. UGH What a pain in the rear!

Link for the pump I just ordered.

In other news I may have found a helper for around the farm. Supposed to try and meet up with her tomorrow or the next day. I’ll let y’all know more when I know more. lol

Nope nothing I know of will kill the weeds without moving along with the manure. When one uses black gold AKA manure then you just deal with the weeds. A good hot compost pile will burn up 90% of the weed seeds if not all.

When you’re strapped for cash and blow a hole in a tractor tire. Ya stitch it up patch the tube and stick a band-aid between the tube and the split in the tire. So far it’s still holding air, for now… BTW that’s a full size tire iron holding the split open for the picture.

Mechanical diesel engines may be a better option as they are more fuel versatile. Plus you have gobs more torque for working.

You might want to look in skinning with air. You use a longish blow gun and air compressor it slides in between the meat and hide and separates the two nicely. Youtube use to have videos not sure if they still do..

Gasifiers hold some interest for me as well. Not so much for power generation though I think for that, one should make use of as few moving parts as possible. I would like to hear more about yours and the ways you use it.

    ROTFLMAO

Just got an email from the AI tech I contacted back in 19.

Funny guy just got back to me about breeding my dexter heifer’s from where I contacted him in Sept 2019 Think he may be a little late, like 4 years late!

I scratch my head wondering why he contacted me now?

We collect rain water for the household use and will be adding more collection sites anytime we add a roof somewhere!

I’ve started working on a pond site. It only gets run off to fill. BUT it has been full for over a year even though the pond is no where close to being finished. Still a lot of digging and damn building to go along with quite a few more trees that need to come down before it’ll actually be finished and ready to use. Right now it’s maybe 60-70 feet across and 12 feet deep. I’m shooting for roughly 175X100 oblong and 20 plus feet deep when it’s finished. But that’s likely a few years down the road. The older I get the slower I move!

As of now I use a 1500 gallon tank and several IBC totes for water storage and catchment.

Yes it is and it’s been an ongoing problem for over 15 years now.

Those old school diesels are nearly indestructible therefore needing few if any parts for many years. Even the new old tech stuff lasts pretty well. IE My 2006 Jinma tractor all 1960’s tech diesel 4×4 made in china based on old designs. It’s only cost me around $1200 in repairs since I bought it in 06.
