Personally I am not to fond of triple digit DC amperage, gets kind of close to the danger zone for my tastes!

After the power comes out of the wind turbine power converter you should be fine to piggyback on the same wire after it leaves the solar controller before it gets to the batteries. AS LONG AS THE TOTAL COMBINED AMPERAGE IS UNDER THE ALLOWED SPECS FOR THE WIRE SIZE AND DISTANCE!

17 buckets full at an average 65lbs each but I’m only calling it 60lbs each to account for moisture in the rock. so 17×60=1,020 plus another 180lbs of sand or just shy of 4 bags for a total mass weight of 1,200. So I would guess the entire stove with mass weighs in right near 1,300lbs. Still a lot of work to be done before I’m ready to fire it off for the first time.

Looks like I’m going to go ahead and put the mass in the box today. Anyone want to take a guess as to how much it will hold weight wise? It’s an old washing machine skin that makes the outer case equaling about 13.5 cubic feet and the internals take up around 2 cubic feet. I’m going to weigh a bucket of gravel and then count the number of buckets used. I will also be filling the voids between the gravel with sand as I want it dense as possible.

Got the stove moved in to place today. Still trying to figure out how I want to work the pony fire and chimney. Guess I could go ahead and start putting all the mass in while I work on figuring out the rest.

First welcome. Second don’t try and take on to many projects at once. It’s nearly every homesteaders biggest issue.
Dexter cattle are probably your best bet. They are a small homestead breed and heritage animals at that! So research them.
Fencing depends on many factors. First and foremost don’t over space your posts. I think properly installed field fencing is about the best middle of the road option. ANY and ALL types of fencing needs to have proper corner braces and stays. Most importantly fence has to be tight, real tight and then tighter yet! The tension is what makes it solid enough to discourage large animals from pushing through. If they feel any give they will keep working it until they walk through it… This not meant for cows specifically but all large animals to include BULLS and BOARS and BEARS which can be some of the worst fence destroyers known to mankind. These don’t even have to be your animals they could be from 5 miles down the road and smell one of your ladies in heat and tear down the fence to get to them. Bears and deer on the other hand pay no heed to fences if where or what they want is on the other side!Hope this helps.
Good luck!

Keep it as is for now I don’t follow people I just read what appeals!

Got the base set and leveled. Which took a whole lot longer than expected! Now I need to move the generator/battery in there so I can take measurements for the pony firebox and chimney. I’m trying not to go through the roof with the chimney pipe, I’m hoping to lean it out the side against the roofs edge.

Very good question, an important one too. A wind charge controller has a dump load it’s different than solar controllers in that way. Generally people will use old school light bulbs or heating elements to burn off this dump load power.

Both good points. He did say he was working with 1000 or 1200 watts total so . . . . . .

I should have gotten it moved today and gotten the measurements. I had to go get hay instead we were out and I had bought & paid for this many months ago and still need to go back for the last two rolls.

Ebay is pretty good for finding deals on rolls of dimes or quarters from 1964 and before and always pawn shops and local coin dealers. There is usually a markup over spot price of several dollars per ounce when buying new bullion coin or bars.
