I don’t know if they show this or not but you can make your own heavy duty filter with a regular box fan and hepa filters. You can’t just add one hepa filter to a box fan because of the lower air flow. But if you have the fan as an outlet on a box made from hepa filters, it can filter a ton of air and not put strain on the fan motor.

Actually they do, and the box fan with a GOOD filter preformed in the same range as the 600$ fan… This is why I liked this test so much as it shows what a person can do for far far far less. This video is well worth the watch.

If there was a nuke, would you have the electricity to run.. any of them?

If I was in the center of the nuke zone no…. If I was outside of that and survived the blast waves, solar panels still work ( might need to replace diodes ) and batteries still would work. Fans can run off solar power or battery power. My charge controller would be toast probably, but I have been thinking I could use mechanical timers for charge controllers for the batteries, It would be a pain to run them but it should work until civilization re-builds. I have built a wood gas generator, so I should have a gen than will charge my batteries if all goes well, can’t speak of how well that would go but I have done a test run with the generator.
