I’m a self-employed “life coach” (mental wellness consultant), who stopped just shy of getting her degree in Mental Health Counseling. My internship was interrupted by the plague, and I realized that I was putting myself into a system that didn’t align with my own values, and to continue to become a licensed counselor would feed into an ugly system that I am vehemently against. So, instead, I help other people to live with values-based integrity and intention… which is why joining this community is so great; it will help me on my own journey with that!

I have two living children (we lost our son Sept. 2022), and a husband who is a Lutheran (LCMS) pastor. We live in the parsonage, and between this not being our land and dealing with our son’s health problems, I haven’t been able to do much garden-wise since we moved in nearly 13 years ago. So much for pastor families moving around a lot too! LOL

This year the congregation offered a plot behind the educational building for a large garden. A member brought his tractor and tilled the land for us. It turned into a 55×40 (2200 sq ft) area. Whoof! So I guess the adventure begins! I’ve decided to continue to take time off of my mental wellness consulting, and focus on this for a while. I think it’s a year of healing.
