Yesterday I finished up the last of my winterizing projects here in the Wenatchee Valley. Looks like snow is coming in the week ahead. This will be the first winter that I will be working with my Cuniculture (meat rabbit ranching).

I finished a 50 gallon barrel set up for water with a heater and 680 gallon pond pump circulating in 1/2″ schedule 40 pvc pipe. I got my 1/2″ pvc and brass nipples for the water system from the site that @MountainSpringHomestead recommended to me when I visited their ranch to pick up my chickens for our freezer. I am thankful for the advice and expertise they shared with me on Raising rabbits both in their videos, and in person when we (my wife and I) visited.

How are those brass waterers working out for you?

I love how easy they are to adjust tension, as well as clean them out. Rabbitnipples.com had some really good selections and when I decided to do a pump type system, they had the PVC adapters that made the install a piece of cake. I’ll add a picture collage I just made.
