Naughty goats

Hi Guys, I am in need of a little advice. I bought two Nubian goats, five and six months old a couple of months ago. They are half sister and brother, I was instructed to give them each a cup of sweet feed every day. The problem is the little buck goat just about goes nuts when he thinks he’s gonna get some sweet feed and he becomes very agitated and pushy. Should I discontinue the sweet feed or handle it some other way? Thanks in advance for any advice. 🤗

We have raised Nubian goats for 13 years now. We do not feed sweat feed to are goats. We use regular goat feed. We found out that sweat feed makes them too hipper and more aggressive toward each other. Your coop should have a plane goat feed.

They make an all stock feed. That way if you have cattle or any other livestock. You can feed that out to them. The only time we feed sweat feed is when our nanny’s are kidding.

Not sure if this is still an active conversation, but remember also, that you do not want to give bucks much grain of any kind, as not to form urinary calculus. I’ve lost one goat too that a few years back. Trust me, it’s NOT a death you want to witness.
