FREESTEADING MARKETPLACE

I would be interested in selling/buying/trading. I don’t have a channel or a web page to which folks can be directed. I would be happy to deal directly with whomever is interested in my goods and vice versa. Whether it be via email or PM. Which would be outside of Freesteading itself.
Possibly 2 lists: one by category providing off site links to sellers or store front communities (Support you fellow Freesteaders); second by listings of individual items/services/needs. You can designate if it is local only.
And no, I don’t believe that Freesteading is being commercialized. I feel the heartbeat of this community is making connections with like-minded people to increase independence from the system…whether it be via education, goods, or services. The building of communities should include local, state, and national. I believe it is a vital network that must be established now if we are to have any hope of real freedom in the coming years.

I didn’t ask if you believe commercialism is taking place. Since you have offered …. What are you offering?

That seems reasonable to me. A separate section for buying, selling, trading and services. Then if you would be interested in buying or selling something you can go to the store, and if not the store doesn’t come to you in other forums.

I would. I sold sewing and craft patterns on Etsy for 12 years but their new bank verification system required terms that said you agreed for them to sell your banking information. No thanks! Even my own bank said that was not a good idea to agree to.
I might also go back to making the items to sell if I had a place to sell them to like-minded folks.
There is one thing though. Justin Rhodes’ Abundance Plus has a marketplace but it uses a payment system that requires a cell phone – Stripe, I think. I don’t have a cell phone and am not getting one. There has to be a way for people to sell without getting MORE plugged in to the internet.

I was going to ask where you and your Bed and Breakfast are but then checked your profile and see you are in WV. If we are ever in that neck of the woods we will contact you. We love staying at B&B’s.

Ìt would be really great to have a marketplace like Craigslist only geared toward homesteading type of things. I would like to buy and sell to locals primarily. Facebook seller doesn’t allow animals, and I could grow a lot of baby bunnies if I could reach the community better. I also grow and sell permacultùre plants, some of which are in my etsy shop, but am limited there because of the cost of shipping and what plants will ship well. Do you really want to buy fruit trees online? No of course not, but you might from a local homesteader!
