Foxfire 3. Giveaway!!!
-
Morning, my name is Teresa and I’ve been following and watching for over a year now. I watch them when I can but I haven’t watched all of them. I’m in Indiana about 40 miles South of Indianapolis and it’s -3 and wind chill of -17 currently. We’re blessed to have survived the night as my furnace has been acting up but I can’t afford to have it fixed properly right now. The fireplace is rolling in the backup generator is on standby. I’d like to thank Danny for that I did get myself prepared for my family. Please be safe going out to feed my players and blessings are with you. Theresa, for the family

I’ve heard of the Foxfire book series. I’ve never been lucky enough to see any of the books in person.

I have found some used copies more inexpensive than the whole set, so I am ordering them piecemeal. We were reading the Bible and a foxfire books for Christmas Eve in front of the fireplace, because sometimes the simple life is worth more than gold, diamonds, or fame. I found a section on pranks. So funny! I was reading about wooden locks and shoe making today. We take so many things for granted that used to take such a long time (a year just to tan the hides for the shoes!) Thanks for being part of Freesteading Wanda. Y’all are priceless too!

The local (chain) used bookstore has them for ten each when they have them—usually only the first four, even though there were quite a few of them in the series. I have also seen the first four or so online in pdf form, too. I prefer paper copies, but an e-copy is better than nothing.

I have had 8 of them for almost 40 years. I don’t know if this was mentioned but the University of TN used some of these books years ago and taught a class on survival. Being from TN that really resonated with me when this was done. I have seen my grandparents participate and share some of the info in the books. They are invaluable.

I have really enjoyed reading these. Perfect for the minus degree weather we have had. We get so used to super fast information, that slowing down to actually READ a section takes concentration and thought. I read about wooden locks and shoe making last night. Now all I want is a smokehouse to lock up😁, but I think a root cellar should come first.

Certainly, they would be a great blessing. I sure could use them. Trying to inspire my nieces and nephews. We must never stop learning! Thank you.

I would be honored to have this book gifted to me! I am soaking up and sharing all the knowledge I can get on homesteading and surviving what is coming! God Bless!🙏
