Fermenting February

I was motivated by the Fermenting February collaboration on YT that Heidi @RainCountry participated in and decided I would try my hand at it.

Wildbrine makes a kraut with red cabbage, beet & pear. This is my version of that kraut but I added garlic because garlic belongs in every dish, right?!

I made 3 quarts for about 1/3 of the cost of one pint.

Trying to be a little more free each day.

The Wildbrine brand is very good. My favorite time to eat it is after being in the yard sweating and tired. It’s so refreshing and a great probiotic.

Making your own is so much cheaper. And you can do exactly what you want. Congrats on adding a new skill!

Thanks. I’m hoping my version will be just as good as the store bought.
