The train mess

I’m split down the middle on the latest Atlas Shruggled event to cross the desk and that would be the train debacle… Rail Union Rejects Deal to Prevent Strike Planned For This Friday, September 16th

My first notion is that the train guys will get everything they want (via our tax money). If this doesn’t happen then it’s just more of the plan. Got to embrace the suck wherever it can be found. Right?

One can go searching and find a dozen reasons FOR the SHTF since Monday and find not a single reason for a not SHTF in the last two years. Chance favors the prepared. Food up. Church up.

You’re certainly in a position to know more about RR stuff than me. I’m only guessing…but I didn’t get off that last bus either. Wheels within wheels. The way I see it the admin will either see to it that the trains keep rolling (one way or the other) or they’ll throw a party when they stop.

I am not sure how I missed this conversation; it has been busy here, though. In hind sight, we know that a strike was averted for the time being. It still may happen and we could get the whole Atlas Shrugged labor relations effect; right now it seems clam. Both sides in the dispute are at fault, and like you said, in the end the tax payer will foot the bill. Spags Unfiltered and I actually touch on this in the latest episode of “What is Freedom?..” which drops tomorrow, Monday 9/19.

Your take on the reason to prepare at this time is spot on. There is ZERO reason to not think that things are going to get tougher. I’ll take it even a step further, though. I’ll say this time and time again, we need to prepare, because at some time during the week, we are going to encounter a day that ends in “Y”. With that said, homesteading is the ultimate expression of being prepared. Even though we are all at different milestones, we are in the right place by being here at Freesteading.

    Take care

Appreciate your reply Grumpy G. Absolutely correct on all you said. Gotta food up and church up as well. The longer the slowdown goes on the easier for the godown to roll right on in.
