What is the best garden hose you have used. I am tired of buying “professional strength” hoses that kink and don’t last the season. I don’t mind investing $ into a quality hose, but tired of throwing money away on ones that don’t last. We only have two points of water and have to run hoses to the animals, garden and other areas. I’ve often wondered what the “professionals” use. Lol. I’m also wanting to get a good sprayer or two. The ones I have gotten at the big box stores, just don’t last. So, what have you used over the years that you couldn’t do without? What has held up over time for you? ***we have drip irrigation, but have to run a hose to the garden. We hope to run more permanent lines in the future. Thanks guys!!!!

I have an older one that was made by Apex that has performed very well (until water got frozen in part of it and I tripped over it before it thawed, oops). I can not find a replacement though. It is embossed with “Apex Kinkproof NTS” (or something close to that), but Teknor Apex does not have a product like it. Also they all seem to have aluminum fittings (avoid those, get brass). Or it may be an aluminum grip over a brass fitting.

From what I hear, Continental or Goodyear brand EPDM hoses perform the best overall for durability and longevity. That is what I am looking at. Maybe not those brands, but an EPDM hose with brass fittings.

The best hose I have found for large through put of water is the Briggs and Stratton heavy duty rubber hose. I used to use Craftsman but they changed their warranty so I went to the Briggs and Stratton heavy duty rubber hose. They are heavy and can kink and tangle.

I absolutely love the Speculite stainless steel hose that I can only find on Amazon. It will not kink or tangle and has held up for the last two years with no problems. It only has a 3/8” hole for water to pass thru. I know of pros that use this stainless steel hose. They are also cheaper than rubber hoses as well.

As for sprayers: I get the heavy duty metal gun type from Home Depot that uses a lever on top to control the water flow. The only one that I have that broke was run over by a lawn mower. They are about $20

Btw I do not have time for crappy tools or hoses. I run 400-800 feet of hose almost daily and depend on what I buy. I will not tolerate

Leaks, breaks, and etc or cheaply made

    products.

Wish I could help – one or two of my hoses have not self destructed, but I don’t remember the brands!☺

I use a 5/8 rubber air hose. I bought a roll about 5 years ago and I’m using it it can stand being run over by a car or truck. It’s not the cheap but we’ll worth the investment.

I went to a nursery and the staff were using their hoses with no kinking or difficulty. I asked them what hose they were using, they told me, and they had it in stock. So I bought it

After using it for a month, went back and bought a second one. Because they worked. And because there is nothing worse than fighting with your hoses when it is 101 degrees out.

I use the ZeroG brand. I use them because they are super lite and are easy for me to move around. Another thing is that they have easy to use metal fittings. We have a few commercial hoses around here but they e d up being too heavy for me to use.
