I am interested in starting to cultivate some for animal feed and compost. I am looking at building a 150 sq foot shallow pond I read that 12 sq feet can provide 1 pound per day(24ft=1kilo) That would be around 12 pounds per day for 150 feet. Is this realistic in zone 7b8amississippi and what are your results

Years back, I worked with both azolla, and duckweed. I stopped because of the high heat here in Florida. Another option is to get on google maps and harvest the duck weed from your local ponds.
