Daddy swore by the Rutgers variety. I had good luck with two Early Girl last fall, but the six in my garden now are struggling. My two Creoles are doing better in the garden. I haven’t put out three new plants. Got them for their disease resistance and refuse to put them anywhere near my garden where the diseased ones are.

I’ll take any advice on fighting the deadly black spot on the leaves.
