I have frozen mine, my grandfather grew greasy beans in 2020 from seed from the 2008 season and they did fine. Definitely have a back up plan like sealed totes if the power goes out for an extended period of time.
I normally look on youtube for a video on how to save the seed for about any plant I want to store. But there is a good book out there for helping to save seeds.
I decided to freeze them after reading about the Svalbard Global Seed Vault. I have no data if this is more effective. I haven’t performed any test cases so I don’t know if just vacuumed sealing is enough. Sorry I cannot be of more help.
