Is it ok to put dog fennel in my compost pile? I understand it is use as an insecticide but can it be harmful to my worms? We have always called it bitterweed since most animals decline the strong smell and taste.

I wouldn’t think so. I use it as chop and drop and have found crickets and worms aplenty underneath them later on. I think if it bothers them, they will move on for a bit. 😊

Don’t know for sure? But if you let it dry out first it probably won’t hurt anything. I use it all the time as Firestarter when I’m barbecuing ignites very well I cook with wood Oak and such.
