I was finally successful in growing Cherokee Tan pumpkins after failing last year. I just harvested the first pumpkin today, September 7, 2023 here in Garner, NC. I can’t wait for the many more to come in the sea of vines which overtook my little garden. Thank you Danny and Wanda for introducing this cute little pumpkin on your channel!

Congrats, looks like they are doing really good. I’m about 30 min southeast of your area.

Congrats! I am in SE NC near Wilmington and they grow great here. I think they like the sandy soil.

That’s good to know. They are a beautiful vine to look at too.

I had trouble growing those too last year. This year I will harvest 3 from a volunteer plant..definitely saving those seeds for Ohio weather. I thought I would be able to grow them.

Yes I am going to save seeds too. I was so afraid I would lose the plants this year as I had planted the last of the seeds this year.
