Official Introductions – Say Hello Here!

Hello,
My name is Timm and live in south central Wisconsin - small city southeast of the people's republic of Madison. I got here via the link from the old version of this forum. I live in a smaller city on a 1/4 acre lot. We have a decent sized garden and down to 3 chickens. I do almost all of my own repairs of anything - from plumbing to carpentry (built a 4' by 8' chicken coop); all automobile repairs (changed an engine, a transmission, and even changed my own tires along with the normal oil changes, replaced brakes, replaced bearings, and replaced axiles); and some work on small engines. Also, I repair my own appliances, work on AV equipment and help people set up their computers. I do not do much with the electricity other than put in outlets and basic rough work - too afraid to touch the breaker box. Planning to retire in a few years and do more to build up a small city homestead and help my sons build their little homesteads.
Turn off branch breakers - Turn off main - double and triple check that power is off and then you should be fine to proceed. Welcome to the neighborhood, Timm.

Hey everyone,
My name is Cal, AKA the LocalPrepper. Its good to see the site back up and running. Currently, I am transitioning from an apartment on the Eastern Shore of Virginia back to my property in coastal North Carolina. I've got a hand full of acres with a few out buildings (More than enough to make a homestead) so we will see where life leads me. I look forward to talking to like minded people.

Hello! Johnny and Jewels Parsons here, otherwise known as Parson Road. We are originally from Georgia, but we travel all over, mostly basing in Alabama these days doing music full-time. We are prepping however we can in a converted Skoolie! We are hoping to eventually get some land to park our little home on! Great to see this group back up!
