How to Drywall if it’s Raining?

@TAG AND BEE or anyone with home building experience,

How do I drywall if it’s raining? The raining season has started here in SE Asia and I’m a little stumped.

The window makers want the windows installed after the drywall. The people we’ve hired to do drywall want the windows installed first.

It’s raining everyday 😅

Any suggestions are much appreciated 🙏🏼

drywall in a humid environment? Is mold not a concern?
Mold is a huge concern. But, it’s the option we have right now. We needed the 3rd floor of our house to be light weight and our contractor said this would work. I would do it differently if I went back but, this is what we are stuck with for now. I’ve attached a picture. You can see the 3rd floor is not concrete like the other floors. Hoping windows are installed in 1 week 😅😭

Always install windows first. If you don't do that how are you going to protect the drywall from the rain and humidity or protect the finished drywall from being damaged during the sealant process. I'd almost even go as far to say you've got a good drywall company and a shitty window company - the window company wanting it done in reverse is a red flag. Also, the house looks nice. But are you drywalling the whole house or just 3rd floor that isn't concrete? As already mentioned that humidity is going to be a problem (with mold and rot) even if everything is installed right.

Its your house and they are working for you - not the other way around.

We are only dry walling the 3rd floor. We will do the windows first and drywall after. 🙌

You should be fine if its just the 3rd floor with proper vapor barriers installed. No worse than drywall in Kansas except your humidity is year round. Digging the Scarface layout of the compound and sniper nest capabilities of the roof decks. Are you going to install a zipline for rapid descending to the ground and hot tar pouring & feathering functionality on the roof.

😂 zip lines are a must. The helipad on top will remain in place 🎯

No need for the tar and feather defense. It’s already hot enough here lol
