About You |
We have been homesteading all of our lives to one extent or another. The Farmer has been farming since he was a child. The Farmer’s Wife, while raised in town had a mother who was raised on a farm so we always had a garden and put up fruits and vegetables via freezing, water bath canning, and pressure canning. When The Farmer inherited his grandparents’ farm we moved our family here (1991) to raise our children, cattle, pigs, horses, chickens, guineas, and ducks. We have a large garden, fruit trees and berries. We also raise herbs to use in cooking and medicinally. Our goal is to be a self-sufficient as possible and are about 75% there so far.
