I can give an amen to that. The gate is narrow and the way is not always an easy one. (Is it simple, yes. Is it easy, no) God even tells us that in this life, we shall be persecuted for our faith.
But if you get out the profit/loss, win/lose, plus/minus charts, what God has done for mankind and what Christ has done, so that we might be with Him, and for the small cost of belief and telling others why God matters. God wins. Every time.
John 4:4 dust it off and look it up.
Peace and carrots.

The worst thing that can happen is they rot in the ground and enrich the soil. The best thing is it provides some food! Good luck, and I hope this worked for you.

I feel like this is at least somewhat related to electroculture. Trying some copper antennae this growing season

Acupuncture works well for this. According to Chinese medicine diagnosis, acne is considered excessive heat in the blood. (Which makes no Western medical sense. Ask me how I know. RN and acupuncturist here)
This is going to sound atrocious, but Chinese medicine does what works, not what’s popular or cute and fluffy.
It is called bleeding cupping. The place for this (for this particular problem) is the C7 vertebrae (base of the neck/largest protruding bony area) That is pricked with a diabetic finger lancet (shallow punctures) and a vacuum cup is placed over this area with a cotton ball inside for absorption. It doesn’t take long, and is very effective.
To find an acupuncturist in your area, just look on the NCCAOM website for practitioner listings.

Cider fried rabbit with onions.
Part the rabbit out, dredge in scrambled egg, then in flour salt and pepper. Place in a heavy skillet to brown in your fat of choice. Once browned place in a dutch oven witha whole sliced sweet onion (Texas sweet or Vidalia) and a cup of cider and bake for 45 min at 325°.
A recipe from my childhood that is just unbeatable. Bon appetit!

In humans that area would be a submandibular or submental lymph node. They are “built” like a catcher’s mitt, to grab potentially noxious organisms. White blood cells migrate to the area and kill the bad guys in the lymph node. Brew some echinacea or golden seal tea and put it in their water as a blood purifier and immune booster. It won’t hurt the healthy ducks either. Maybe another bowl of water with ACV (apple cider vinegar) as a good probiotic. Gut health may matter. Keep us in the loop for how your girl is faring please!

I can’t get mine to quit. Garden soil, clay soil. I put it on the “edge”, because everything in permaculture happens on the edge.

Are the Canadian wildfires another way to impact the food system? Cloudy skies, acid rain, unable to go outside and work in the garden due to air quality?

Thank you for the chart ! It really makes events and sects very clear.

I joined FS to find my local tribe. Online tribe is awesome, but I am willing to help and sometimes I NEED help. Winching trees out of my valley for firewood so they don’t foul my pond outlet. My husband doesn’t help often. He likes to look at our property, but isn’t big on mgmt. So I do most of the workf or the animals and the garden and the yard and the pond, and work full time with on call. I am seriously looking for tribe.

Well, you were right. The male became dinner. Hateful little heathen!
The remaining 6 are girls. Lost the one who started with splayed legs and a wry neck to a fox, I believe, leaving me with 5 These have taken up the mantle of caring for the mallard ducklings that are about 7 weeks old.
Ironically, the Muscovies weren’t in the pond that much until the mallards were outside. Now they hang with the mallards in the nursery cove at night and today I caught them diving and swimming underwater having a massive duck fiesta. I got to watch, but wasn’t invited.

Great advice Mark. You win today’s “wise prize”. 😁👍

That rabbit recipe made me want to stop over for dinner. My goodness! So much delicious all in one place!

He cleans out his duck coop I think once or twice a year and makes enough compost for the year with the deep bedding that he mixes biochar in, as well as feeding it to the birds. He puts a layer of biochar when he adds new bedding and says the flies are dramatically less.
Yes, he has a perforated pipe down the center for aeration. I know it can dry out easily in his climate, so that may be why he uses trashcans, so he can retain moisture better.
Check out Jack on the survival pod last. He has over 3200 episodes and I’m sure you can do a search and find his method….it was on a recent episode S well.
