We are a new (2020) small family farm/homestead in southern Missouri, run by a fully disabled veteran (courtesy of a flu shot).  Most farms in our area are cow/calf operations, with little other activity than grazing/breeding operations.  There is heavy use of traditional fertilizers to support grass production.  One goal of our little homestead is to improve soil fertility on our land by introducing natural pollinators and using a natural, non-traditional approach to improve soil fertility that is free of chemical fertilizers. We raise sheep (St. Croix and East Friesian) on the homestead using management-intensive rotational grazing techniques, and plan to add farm fresh produce, honey production, and specialty dairy products to our lineup.
