Russian bocking #4 is the variety we use and sell and our website. It should work pretty well in zone nine as long as you give it intermittent shade and remember not to use potting soil or compost. Comfrey always does better in lousy soil.

Comfrey salve is what we use as our go-to. It works so well that we decided to start making it to sell at the website.

I should also add that we are considering getting a real camera because it lends a little more gravitas to the situation when you are trying to interview people. In other words, they take you a little more seriously.

The number one attractant for crows in my area is Bread. The chickens eat some of it but they prefer the rice so they seem to leave a fair portion of it for the crows.

I do the same exact thing with random random seeds. It’s sometimes shocking the unexpected things that pop up in places that I didn’t intentionally plant them.

Thank you everybody for the vote of confidence and a fantastic discussion! There’s really no need for me to respond half the time because it seems all of the answers are provided in our little community here. What a joy!

That sounds like a rough situation for sure! Remember, the thing that makes electricity so dangerous is your inability to see it.

Like renewed Homestead, we use our phones and William does the editing through iMovie.

Seems like some kind of fungus. You might try spraying milk on it.

We are currently using both methods can be used simultaneously… but in light of the status quo it seems wise to eliminate the need for outside sources.

You can always plant comfrey if you’re able to work the soil.

I’m thinking about running it underground and sending the chimney to the outside of the structure.
