We should Call our Congress Critter, however, kind of hard when about 10% of the Church is Former LEOs, another 10% is ex-Mil, and another 30+% Civies all pack. #Dontmesswithtexas

  • When hooking up any new source of power I check and triple check the voltage before I add it to a circuit. I got an inexpensive ocillisope off of Amazon and it will do voltage and give you sinewave readings.

Like cutting material, measure twice or three times cut once. Also when hooking anything sensitive that is electronic in nature I always put a UPS if there is any remote doubt as to the votage or sine wave even if I’ve tested. Cheaper to fry a UPS than your electronics. Always say to myself if I can’t afford to lose it, sepecially in SHTF make no assumptions before I hook something up.

Your PC may just be a fried power supply and that is esily and inexpensively replaced. The TV may have the same issue but the power supply may not be inexpensively or easily replaceable. Also Check for fuses either clipped or sodlerd to the circuit boards of both devices.

Side Note: I have a couple of freezers that do not like the modified sign wave from my 5kw generator and will not run but I put a UPS (because I have a bunch of old ones lying around) between the power and the device and it gives a clean sine wave and they are happy.

Great research!! Validates my research too. Here in S Texas I received a 6 figure quote as well and decided I’m going to start small, build my own prototype that does’t need a permit to power my detached shed. After that I’ll work with an electrician to navigate the permitting.

Agreed. The US is nothing but a paper kitten and when if comes to real conflict I fully predict our forces will be wiped out in under 24 hours when it comes.

As far as domestically I am ready for balkanization and let blue zones collapse into their self made paradises. I predict most of the former confederate states will be the first block to separate as they will have the Gulf Coast and the Atlantic, natural resources such as Oil, Minerals, Agriculture & etc. New Idaho is a step in the right direction but they will not have access to the sea except via the Columbia river and they will be an island so I’m not sure how that will pan out.

The Stage is set, the actors are on their marks and the only thing that needs to be done is to pull the curtain cord.

Everyone around me that thinks things will get back together does not know that the history of the world is filled with numerous examples of Balkanization and Consolidation. We grew up in the age of US Stability so it is a little spooky to us. My Lifestyle is prepping now and one cannot possibly plan for everything you can sure try and I sleep a heck of a lot better at night knowing I work towards my goals every day as much as time allows.

Thank you for this recommendation. I was able to get this book. Because of the medical tyranny going on I’m growing many herbs and medicinals and ways to make tinctures, salves and getting equipment to make everything we can. I finally weaned myself off the last one and we go to a naturopath who is extremely antivax with none of his 5 kids ever receiving any vax since birth

I was thinking that too. I live in a more humid climate and have issues with powerdy mildew but the lack of Humidity was throwing me. Learn something every day!

In doing a few searches $10-$15k is a bit much for me at this time. I have looked at doing the trashcan method. The challenges for me with the Trash can method living near Houston are

    1) ground moisture: There are times of the year we get inundated with rains and I have standing up to 2 inches of water on the ground for days or just an inch or so below grade. Never flooded during any storm but it’s the nature of the topography of the land So I can elevate the lid a bit to avoid that

    2) condensation due to humidity There are times of the year when the cold shifts to warm and my house literally sweats. So I’d be concerned that all the straw in the world would eventually accumullate enough moisture to start rotting.
