We’re in our 50’s and made the move to Oden, Arkansas from Houston, Texas about 6years ago. My husband is a carpenter and I previously worked for a veterinary hospital for 15 years. I’ve been retired since my kidney transplant 6 years ago. We’re definitely in the learning phase of Freesteading and loving it (really wish we’d made the move sooner). Learning gardening, preserving, animal husbandry and permaculture. We set up a lot of things incorrectly before knowing about permaculture so we’re going to be making changes and will have projects coming up. We share our lives with laying hens, seasonal meat birds, turkeys, American Guinea hogs, beef cows and 5 dogs. Look forward to connecting with others in this new wonderful platform.
