I agree with BetterNow that it might be a good idea to save up for a better mill. I’ve heard that people don’t like the Kitchen Aid attachment very much. I have a Nutrimill which is a lot more than $100, but has been so worth it! It has a very large hopper so that I can grind a lot at once and the warranty is amazing. The motor burned out after maybe 7 years of consistent use and they fixed it at no cost except shipping. I eventually had to buy a new one because I wore it out and they gave me 50% off for being a loyal customer. It’s a very good company. I have also heard great things about the Wondermill as well.

It’s definitely tricky sometimes. Our house is about 2300sqft but we have a year’s supply for 6 people. The only thing I have downstairs is two 5-shelf industrial shelves in my kitchen (so ugly) to hold all of my canning. Upstairs where visitors can’t see, we have buckets of wheat lining the hallway and each bedroom has other types of food storage. Someday, I would like to have nice decor, etc., but knowing we can survive is much more important!

Thank you to everyone for your help! It sounds like it turned out the way it was supposed to. I’ll also try it in the ways you suggested.
