I really like the idea of making medicine but I’m also smart enough to remember that in a SHTF situation, I don’t want to be out of action for a month waiting for the elixir to do its job. And it sounds like you’re looking for a zero cost (free) method. If that is is, just use a sock/rag to filter it and then boil it.
