About You |
H. Kent Hepworth, P.E., Ph.D., is a retired Professor of Mechanical Engineering from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona (awarded title: “Emeritus Professor of Mechanical Engineering” 1996).
On August 14, 2022, I proudly became an octogenarian. By the grace of our Lord I am still in great physical condition.
During 1994, I was granted a third Sabbatical leave from my University, to consult on site to the Department of Energy (DOE) facilities located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. My wife (Paula) and I moved from Arizona to East Tennessee (Oak Ridge). After 28 years of service (1968 – 1996), I retired from the State of Arizona, September 31, 1996, I then retired fully from engineering consulting with DOE during 2010.
We live on a 15 acre homestead near Oak Ridge. My major interests and hobbies are Blacksmithing, Woodworking and Gardening. We are active in our local Southern Baptist Church.
I look forward to continue developing our homestead. My current effort is installing a solar array to give us a degree of energy independence (make that a “free man!”).
