I am an avid backpacking hammocker with preference on true wilderness adventures, mostly on my yearly Idaho trips).  I produce freeze dried backpacking meals and polycarbonate based ultralight outdoor gear via my 3D Printing Farm.  For over 30 years I have made most of my own tools and things from metal, wood, and leather (and now polymers to some extent).  And most recently I am working on creating a free community use GMSR Repeater (my Call Sign is WRUJ804) since we live on a hilltop and should be able to provide good coverage for the area.

I believe strongly in developing a community of like minded folks to utilize our strengths and overcome our weaknesses.  Most of my strengths involve knowledge of how to take raw materials (iron, animal skins, trees, etc) and turn them into usable materials and then apply various craftsmanship skills to turning those into useable and useful things.  This knowledge also permits the long term maintenance and enhancements to those things. I am also an extreme long distance marksman and reload all of my own ammunition, and am trained in tactical maneuvers.

My current weaknesses are around growing my own food (though I am really good at preservation and have commercial equipment for freeze drying, dehydrating, canning, and vacuum sealing).  I am currently working on my weaknesses.  I always had my father and grand parents around who had green thumbs.  But they have all passed before I could learn from them unfortunately.

My nickname, social media name, and trail name was given to me a couple of decades ago, as I have been an avid hammocker for almost 30 years (way before it was cool, ha).
