In a SHTF situation, if I don’t know you I won’t stop. Now if you’re broke down and it’s not that situation, and my oldest is with me, we’d help.
If you can, make plans with people you trust, for this type of situation so y’all can have eachothers back, and they’ll know what die ton to look for you if you don’t show up.

I’d wait till at least a week past normal planting time. (Check out weatherman plus on YouTube. He seems pretty accurate, and we have more cold nights coming. ) Then plan on planting half at first. You can do a small makeshift greenhouse for them to protect until you know the weather is good. I’d also have some light weight row cover on hand to protect from the insects.
Wishing you the best! (From NE Bama)

I saw one last week that said even the alexapure co. Was deceptive. Bieber had filters tested for the gallons they say they purify. Neither is tested as you said. I’m a but upset about it. I have one of each.
Think we’d be better off using sand, rocks and charcoal. Then boiling the water.

Do you have livestock? You can make a large circle with cattle panels and coil copper pipe in it (outside of the green house), and fill it with manure and compost materials to make a hot compost pile. Then run some Pex under the beds. Run into a holding tank and from the holding tank back to the pile.
I saw someone used a hot pile method to heat shower water through a whole winter for people volunteering on their farm, years ago in a YouTube video. I think recirculating water would prob help keep lines from freezing for your application.

I got the rest of my sweet potatoes up right before the rain. I took my tomatoes out yesterday, so I have green tomatoes to process. I figured with tempos starting to drop that it’s best to get what I can.
I do still have a few pepper plants and a louffa. Out there.
I hope my greens will be established enough for the early winter I heard about on Weatherman plus!

I’ve done allot of reading and thinking about this subject. First for Christians is to be a witness for the Lord.
I think about past historical famines and how God took care of people…. then come back to reading about the fact you may entertain angels… when that stranger knocks on your door.
If God can make a person, sold into slavery by his brothers, head of store houses and forgiving enough to feed his family afterwords…. and, make oil not run out, etc…I think it wise to store up what we can, but not just for ourselves. Question comes down to is where a person’s heart? In fear and scarcity, or trusting in God and love.

I think that reference was an example for being spiritually ready for the Lord’s coming, as we are the bride of Christ.
Proverbs 25:21-22
If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; for so you will heap coals of this on his head, and the Lord will reward you.
Matthew 25:35 for I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink…
Lev.19:18b but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
