I tried a small homestead before YouTube existed, and failed miserably. Now, I’m taking a different approach which incorporates lessons learned and better self-knowledge. I have a garden, small orchard, a horse, and am preserving as much food as I can. My YouTube channel is not intended to “build an audience” with the goal of earning an income – I have a FT gig that I’m quite enjoying and have no plans to stop. My YT is mainly to share lessons learned in my garden, because I have no one in my real life to share those types of things with. I am changing that!
