Just here to connect and learn while we find a piece of land to settle onto and put all this permaculture wisdom to use! Looking for our homesteading spot around Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas or North Carolina area. Happy to hear about people’s experiences in this part of the U.S.

Seeking: working opportunities and/or temporary living situations as my husband and I travel. We are planning a road trip that starts in Northern California and ends up around TN, KY, and NC (flexible on timeline/dates). We will probably travel with our camper trailer. Other key places to stop would be SoCal, Arizona and Arkansas. Our goal is to work/trade while we travel so that we can afford the travel and our usual monthlies. Our ultimate goal is to discover where our kin’s domain (homestead) will begin.

Offering: helping on your homestead is ideal- we can build (i.e. drywall, cob, tile work), milk goats, garden, help with pet/vet care, childcare/caretaking, and more. We also have other skillsets if you’re looking for help with a small business or know of other work available. Some of our other experience includes entrepreneurship and business marketing, project managing, bodywork/massage therapy, nutrition and health, artistic creation, music writing and playing, veterinary care (husband was a Vet Tech for 20+ years), and small farming operations.
