First and foremost I love the Lord Jesus Christ with every fiber of my being and am so thankful for Him saving me. At one point in my life I turned my back on Him but He never turned His back on me. I paid a price for my disobedience but am so thankful and blessed that Jesus is my Lord and Savior now. I grew up spending much of my time on my grandparents farm. Learning animal husbandry and  I learned gardening and canning at a very young age from my grandmother and mother. I have gardened to some degree my whole life. I have lived on both coasts, midwest, midsouth and now call NC home. Having lived so many places I have gardened in many types of gardens. From pots on a porch, to huge row gardens on a rented farm, to community garden plots, borrowing someone’s land in exchange of produce, to multiple raised beds and to permaculture edible landscape. Now in my 60s I continue to enjoy the love of gardening instilled in me. And the joy of canning, fermenting and preserving the harvest. I also have a great interest in Herbalism and Homeopathy. And started growing many herbs and making tinctures and remedies. I’ve had many careers throughout my life. I have a B.S in Biology/Pre-Med. Worked as a Microbiologist and Chemist in the 80s. An Office Manager of a health clinic in the 90s. And the owner of a recruiting company since early 2000s My husband grew up a ‘big city’ man but now finds joy in helping in the garden and the simpler things of life.
