I lost it all on stocks long ago after a company got cought doing bad books. Since that time I decided it was better to invest in things I could touch. I invested in land, and metal. Although I may have been a bit early to the party I’m firm on my position as my buy in for silver is $16.50 and gold is $1,700 on avg. I’m not getting wealthy, however everytime an analyst predicts the greatest stocks my investments seem to be worth a little bit more. Land is solid as they aren’t making more of it anytime soon, as for silver it is necessary for every form of clean energy imaginable along with a list a mile long of dirty industrial uses, not making more of it, if they could they would. As for gold it is a hedge against inflation and the stock market money drives it up as the market gets shake. I feel like I’m in a good place, might not be the flashy thing but sometimes slow and steady wins…dunno time will tell.

I don’t know that I have any Scott m’s books.
I have a unique taste in books though, maybe a bit of a weirdo…lol. The best way I can describe it is, I like books written by Preppers that write, not writers that prep. It may seem like the same, but to me it’s not. The narrator must be able to do good voice inflection,, if its monotone I can’t listen to it,, just bothers me to have a 5 year girl and a 40 year old man sound the same,, makes it hard for my imagination to follow.. I’m much more so into the scenarios, and tips and tricks type things that are picked up along the way as apposed to plot story etc.
Do you have anything you might reccomend for this type of description?

That’s what the stories are based around that I like, post shtf from a prepper perspective, there arenso many things that just would never cross your mind other wise. Interesting perspectives from a story view point.

One of the best videos I ever watched when I was creating my channel was from Vid IQ and it had a message behind it. (I made a couple of phone videos 6ish years ago then started again in January) basically the message was its going to be terrible, dont waste your time making it perfect, just do it rip the bandaide off and make it, in the coming years you will laugh at how long you wasted editing and trying to make the perfect video of the worst videos ever. You will be lucky to get 10 views, and no one will like it. You are literally about to make garbage.
I’m like gee that’s encouraging, then after thinking about it, it was the best and most encouraging advise I got, compared to all the invest x dollars on lighting on cameras, equipment, sit like this, do that, bla bla bla. It becomes overwhelming, just do it and be done. The sooner you accept that the cyber world is not anxiously awaiting your videos then the sooner you will make the video. Basically accepting the first however many will be awful, but you learn you grow along the way if you decide to get rid of them do it down the road just delete and it’s gone.
Some of my issues are I never realized how much I say um when talking to the camera, (easy to edit if it bugs you) moving the camera if you don’t have multiple is time consuming, if your on a tractor to stop get off and move it every couple minutes takes time, however with editing you can move it a couple times then just change the timeliness and it looks allot better as if it’s being moved allot when you only moved it 2-3x.
Youtube is not a person it is a algorithm, this is important for titles, and descriptions. It’s a different way of writing and communicating, the big channels have these things mastered, the title and description of the video are more important then the video itself when starting out, sounds odd but I have herd it countless times in how too videos.
Good luck with it, just make a quick video and be done! 🙂

Have you read borrowed world as well?

This is tied for 1st place on my favorite series list. I think Duke edges this one into first place. I actually have A Americans cell we have texted and talked many times about him doing a class on some land I have near Leadville, CO. Neat guy.. Going home is my go to when I can’t find anything else, I have herd this series more times then I care to admit. 😉 absolutely agree amazing series through book 11.
Before you ask…the tie book series is Borrow world by Franklin Horton, narrated by Kevin pierce. Chapter one of book 1 is one of the best chapters of any book I have ever read. It leaves you feeling like how is this information being written and published! This should be top sceret! The scenario that happens is scary how simple, how easy, and the fact that it could be being put together right now to be executed tomorrow and no one would have a clue untill it happened, no fancy nuts, just straight out of pre WW1 technology.
Best stand alone book imo is Odd Billy Todd, a couple of scenarios in that book are very unique to that book, that make you really stop and think.

One second after was not the first book on the subject by any means but definately a memorable one, its now the first In a series, I completed the series, overall it was an excellent story, my only gripe on the series was as I was listening to it, (-all 3 times) I never had an inclination to take any notes the overall message was great, a hard lesson to learn about his daughter,, and gave a great overview of what was possible etc however like I said didn’t take notes from it. Obviously it’s not an educational on a survival level type book. For me personally that’s the type of stuff I look for.

I would listen to the audio books however my 6 year old has been hooked on that series for years, she watches it allot. When I was younger I did however read the little house series.
