I’m Sheila, 37, from Pennsylvania.

I’ve always wanted to be a homesteader. The more experience I get in the 9-5 box, the more I realize how it detracts from my happiness and well-being. I’m not a social butterfly, and I’d rather have close, like-minded friends I can trust than live each day in a cut-throat deceitful environment called “the office “

I’m coming up with my escape plan, and I know I need to learn a lot. I hope to find like-minded people here.

I want to learn about basic home maintenance, off-grid electric and communications, gardening, raising small livestock, and successful self-employment.

I cannot find anyone else my age in my area with the same interests.

I’d love to hear from other single women who are pursuing this lifestyle on their own without a partner.
