I am in the process of staking my bean rows with 7 foot tall T posts and I want to use twine to create a trellis for the pole beans to grow on. What is the best twine to use for this purpose. I have asked about hemp twine but nobody near me carries it. I have some sisal twine on order but I think it only has a 20lb load rating. Any ideas? I do know my grandpa used to use twine but that was like 60 years ago.

I’ve used everything from 550 cords to electric fence wire. I can’t say that it matters what you use as long as you get them up

What is 550 cord? I have used electric fence wire as a cheap fix for a lot of things. May try it as well and see what happens.

I know I could us cattle panels but do not want to use up my cattle panels for a bean trellis.

I found jute cord in Walmart for less than $5 in the craft supply area. It will be strong enough.
