How about a wheat discussion?
WInter, Spring, soft, hard, heirloom, hybrid. I’ve read about wheat and it’s ancestors a lot. I’m still confused. I’m in South Texas. Below 29° latitude. I want to grow some wheat but still don’t know what type or when to plant it. Can someone give me a tutorial? Many thanks!

Good info. I appreciate you pulling it up. The problem is that is for areas 4 or 500 miles North of where I’d be growing it. Very different climate. I’m hoping someone closer to my latitude has done it and has advice. Thanks!

This gives best wheat varieties by region. I hope this helps. It is TX A&M research, so it should be pretty legit.
