I’m not trying to step on toes but I have been growing cuttings from a beautiful elderberry near my home In Northwest Indiana for the last 3 years and it doesn’t disappoint. I assume I’m the only person that knows about this particular plant so I went and named this cultivar after my son Declan. I get about a 90% success rate starting them in water just past the first leaf node. It usually takes a week to start getting swelling and then shortly after that the root(s) will begin to pop. Then I just put them in a gas station fountain drink cup with some fluffy potting mix until I can put them outside. Pick the flowers off the first year and then the next year these things put out huge flower/fruit clusters. If you ever want some let me know and if I impeded on a sale here I would be glad to buy some from somebody else to remedy that.
