Question on Comfrey.

    Something I also need to know in zone 5. Also, can the comfrey get too big to be useful in salves and such?

    I usually wait one season. But, if it’s grown large enough, you can dig it up and see what you’re working with. If it’s got enough root mass you could easily snap off a handful of 2-4″ pieces and start a few more plants. And the original plant crown should take right back off!
