I had a rack full of them last winter, I used a “thermocube” and plugged in a 400W ceramic plate heater. Stacked a bunch of spare batt insulation around the rack and heater to make a little closet. I had planned on improving on that this winter, using 2″ rigid foam insulation and putting the heater under the rack, so the warm air rising would be more effective. However, I got the portable building bought, delivered and insulated, so I’m just moving everything into that more conditioned space.
I had considered the seed starting mat as well, as I have several, and they draw less power. But I had a stack of 6 batteries, not just one. I know the little heating pads they put inside the batteries are pretty small, but of course they are inside the batter, in direct contact with the cells, and the BMS controls them.
