This morning I took an old UPS and I hooked it directly to my solar panels / no batteries. I have 3 222 watt solar panels in parallel. I hooked these panels directly in where the 24v battery of the UPS goes. The results so far is good, I am powering a 300 watt fan, and my AC on low. I believe if I add another panel I should be able to run the AC full out. I have been wanting to have a battery less system, and this on sunny days works so far. I have had it running the 300 watt fan for over 3 hours no issues so far, this is much much better than my buck converter which gives me only 260 watts. I picked up the UPS for $25.00, it is rated for 900 watts of output, so I probably will add another panel and see what this can do. I like this system as I am not afraid to break it.

Careful, this is MOST experimental, I would hate to see you fry something. I got this UPS for $25.00 and I was not worried about loosing it if it did not work.
