Has anyone used chicken poop in their worm bin? I’m thinking of trying it after I do my spring bin clean out once the weather warms up some more after I move the bin from my cellar back to the garage.

Chicken manure is hot. If it is aged and you mix other things in with it you might get away with it.

      Thanks for the quick response.

I’m new to this and not sure what proper aging looks like.

I have a feed bag full that I got from someone and it has been in the bag and under a tarp since November. Would that be aged long enough?

There is a video I would recommend to you to see with this. A man in Hawaii has made a system of matts he lays on the ground in his chicken pen. The chicken manure on the matts which allows the poop to go thru. The worms consume the poop but the chickens can’t get to the worms. Then he lifts the matts then the chickens can get at the worms and he ends up with great compost.

He has a great system with worms.
