Gilt in labor?

Hi, I hate being “that” person but I have a question. How do I know when my gilt, Hampshire cross, is in labor? I am reading every article, watching every video, and going back over old posts on fb. The information is so conflicting that I am going nuts! I know when my gilt came home, she was in heat. I know that my boar mounted her. I never noticed her going back into heat. Now she’s at day 116 and I was frantic. Recently found updates articles that tell me pigs pregnancies last 111 to 120 days. I’m just looking for signs that tell me I’m on the right path.

Separate her, give her a pile of loose straw so she can make a nest area. The rest is up to her but as a woman I can assure you that God taught our bodies how to give birth. Even if we aren’t sure the first time. Enjoy the process and please share pictures of your new babies.

Thank you, I will. She has been separated for a couple of months with her bonded friend next to her.

Doa periodic “teat check” when “doughnuts” form around the nipples, that is a sign of impending labor.

Her body knew better than I did! I’m guessing what we saw wasn’t actually what we saw. 10 days after her estimated due date, she’s frantically nesting and has started squirting colostrum
