    This is actually a great idea. It’s great exercise. When I was in sports in my teens I would throw hay, clear brush, aggressively shovel pens and coups, cut wood with an axe, split wood with a maul, drag logs out of ravines with spikes and rope and ran through the woods with the dogs for part of my conditioning. Incorporating semi-lunging and semi-squatting motions can give a full body workout.
