My side hustle is creating logos and vinyl decals. I am not a professional by any means and do most of my work as a hobby. Though not really a money maker I enjoy the challenge and the work.

It’s not been successful but I am an author and poet. Just putting on paper what God has given me over the years. It came out in 2018, but it’s my own fault nothing is going on with it. Now that I have started to change my thinking, I am starting to promote it again. Unfortunately, right now it is just on the jungle site. I wish I knew how to post the link but the title is Inspirational Struggles by Lee Brand. The cover is my photo. I also, speak and preach when the Lord gives me an opportunity.

I offer True Sidereal Astrology services, my husband does Permaculture Design on the side. I use to sell sourdough before we moved. Once we get the outdoor oven going, I will likely reboot that. 🙂 We also just side hustle any abundance we have. I also create worksheets for a learner driven community, but that’s not my favorite side hustle. 🙂

I still work full time, thankfully 100% remote! Planning to breed and raise heritage poultry next year. We have American Bresse chickens and Bourbon Red turkeys so far! Hubby wants to do heritage pigs so were trying a couple of breeds to decide on which to concentrate. He’s also a master carpenter so can build anything. Also I dabble with my Cricut in vinyl and shirts but have not offered or attempted to sell any. Maybe down the road 🤔

May I ask what you mean by Cricut? It sounds like you are talkinbout printing images on clear vinyl or shirts…I’ve been searching for a way to print my images onto fabric. I live in Mayberry, and don’t like doing any business over the internet. Reply if you want to, thanks, kelly

Hey there – I’ve seen my sister-in-law use her Cricut machine – it is a table-top X and Y axis cutting machine for thin materials. She was making a crossword puzzle quilt and the font was just like the letters you see on the Scrabble game tiles. Seems like it would accept materials about a foot wide into the cutting area. Hope that helps.

A Cricut is a digital die-cutting machine that is able to cut different materials for use in a plethora of craft projects. It can cut paper, vinyl, balsa wood, fabrics, leather and cork. Used with a computer for designing. The vinyl and other transferables can then be heat transfered to fabrics, etc.

LoneWolf, check out sublimation. Sublimation is a design process where inks are transferred onto the product using heat. I haven’t used it personally, but to my understanding you can print the design using a printer and then iron it on fabric. I used to use a transfer medium to transfer photos or printed images onto an object or fabric.

I hope that it is okay to post here. I am trying to build my youtube channel, realizing it can take time. I would love additional subscribers for support.
    Potpourri Of Life – YouTube
I will be focusing on herbs and sewing, yet considering my “potpourri of life” journey, it does emcompass a variety of subjects including that of my Lyme journey, cooking, etc.

Thank you in advance for your support

      Sub #57 I believe.

Took a quick look at your video list to visit later and one caught my eye immediately. It was the one where you are inspecting your husbands hunting clothes for possible needed repairs. Now that was something I had never expected to see. 🙂

Inspecting my husband’s hunting clothes helps me, in that I don’t generally need to do repairs when he gets home in order to go the next day due to a tear, zipper mending or button replacing.
Just an ounce of prevention. Thank you for checking out my channel. I appreciate it.

My apologies for my delay in responding…it has been hectic on my end, but always working and moving forward.

My son and I do custom 3D printing on the side when our farm allows us the time. Blacksmithing and customized welding in the slow months. We sold Organic produce for a couple months this year as well. Supply problems and ever increasing inflation is changing the normal routine of certain farm operations all around us. Our Farm / Homestead is mostly self sufficent and is allowing us to maintain a somewhat normal operation so far. So thankful for that.

I paint portraits in oil, but also work full time at least until we pay off the bills and at that point get a little piece of land to homestead.

Here is a side hustle for some enterprising Freesteader that has an eye for fitness. I’ve joked about it for years; this weekend we were discussing it while at Tag and Bee’s homestead work day and I think it’s a winner. Here goes…if you don’t mind people on your property and live near an area where people have more money than sense, hold a week long homesteader/prepper boot camp. Have people come out and subject them to a week “Farm Fit” program designed to get them fit and show them what running a farm/bug out location is like. For 8 hours a day, they can do exercises like the “goats destroyed the fence circuit course”, “Bucking hay”, “the stubborn cow push” and Tag’s favorite of the moment “cutting, splitting” and stacking 13 1/2 cords of wood”. People that groove on the program can then pay you monthly to come out to your place 3 days a week to get an awesome workout.

I know it sounds like a joke, I seriously think that in the right location and with the right marketing, it would work. Crimeny, people pay for “Goat Yoga” and fake “Navy Seal cross fit” programs, why wouldn’t they pay for this?

This is a great idea!!! People pay to go to ranches, camps and other destinations to get fit and healthy, why not this?

This is actually a great idea. It’s great exercise. When I was in sports in my teens I would throw hay, clear brush, aggressively shovel pens and coups, cut wood with an axe, split wood with a maul, drag logs out of ravines with spikes and rope and ran through the woods with the dogs for part of my conditioning. Incorporating semi-lunging and semi-squatting motions can give a full body workout.

    Y’all are so inspiring!

My side hustle is my homestead right now. My full time hustle is owning a salon. I would really like to turn this around. Any suggestions?

My husband is alot older than me, we are/were both self employed then Covid came, and had to make a decision. I went back to work FT, while he stayed home to work on transitioning from the city house to the homestead. As far as side hustles, after work I sew, quilt (long arm quilting machine), and have an embroidery machine but haven’t had time to play with it yet, and need to update the software probably. I’ve done some small upholstery projects but just for myself so far.

My side hustle is selling on eBay. The fees are high but I can sell items for a lot more than I can local. I sell everything… electric parts (my day job so I have ton of knowledge) to clearance and auction items. It’s something that once we move to the farm I can keep going.
