Hi Angespag, Kevin here. Sorry I didn’t make any plans for this stove build. Nothing fancy just improvised based on materials at hand and previous rocket stoves I’ve played with. Also wanted stove to be easily transportable (hoping to do a crab boil on the coast someday). A few key components to this build in my opinion:
– Inner “fire pan” is just a metal oil drain pan with air holes drilled around base.
– “Chimney” is metal dryer duct. Connect to can by making “*” shaped cut, bend tabs out, slide duct over for friction fit.
– Cauldron/Pot needs flange of some type to rest on trash can lid rim. (Hole cut to appropriate size). The Korean Gamasote is designed this way, but maybe a food service stainless steel pot would work. If excessive smoke leaks from under flange (gets in your eyes), try fiberglass rope gasket used for woodstove/fireplace insert doors.
I think this concept has a lot of potential. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
