We buy a 1/4 of beef twice a year. It’s coming up here in April for this years first time, we will do it again in October. I bumped us up to 2 times a year beginning of last year, glad I did .

I’ll be going on a freezer canning frenzy in the next week or so. Ex sister in law and niece had to move in with us, so I now have a new food preservation student !

Instead of going to the store, buy local, support a nearby rancher.

Just put in an order with a local rancher. We don’t have any cattle and I’m looking forward to trying the beef bacon.

My BIL is a cattle rancher. I got a 1/4 cow from him in February. Super thankful to have a full freezer.

We also just bought 1/4 cow from a local rancher as well. It’s our 3rd year. So, glad we did that.

The beef is a lot better than store bought, really economical, and get to support a local rancher. Win, win, win.

Just remember; for those who may not eat beef or eat very little beef, these people are going to be seeking other proteins so stock up on chicken, turkey, duck – whatever – even beans!
