Foraging FRESH from the Homestead
I love this time of year! A cool nip in the air, just got a slight rain, garden is done, but FALL is creeping in. This is my favorite time to see what I can create a SALAD with. Today, Romaine lettuce , marconi and fooled you jalapeño peppers, cabbage leaf from the green house, green onions from a raised bed. Spinach from the greenstalk vertical planter, garlic chives and pineapple sage flowers from the herb garden.
I will make a vinaigrette dressing using some of our muscadine juice and vinegar and olive oil.
