We have a Kitchen Queen wood cook stove. In Northern Michigan it’s our only heat source, keeps us toasty. Can hold a fire all night, sometimes 12 hours. It has a nice sized oven, I cook any and all food on it. It also has the stainless steel water tank on the back and is my only source of hot water in the kitchen. It’s made heavy duty and to last, amazing stove, I love it.
I would say soups on the stove top, roasts in the oven. Your temperatures don’t have to be precise, and ‘low and slow’ is a good thing.
